The Word: John 11: 40 – 42(KJV)
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Dig Deeper: John 6: 11 (KJV)

JESUS WAS ALWAYS POSITIVE
One of the attributes of Jesus that God wants us to learn is how to stay positive. Jesus was a role model of being positive minded. He was always forward looking, always seeing the good in every situation.
1 Thessalonians 5: 18
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
This is an attribute God wants us to copy. When there is abundance he wants us to be happy, when we have prayed and believed God has heard but we are in a waiting period God still wants us to be happy. David also was like this. In 1 Samuel 30: 6 – We understood David encouraged himself in the Lord after he had just lost everything physically. He had lost his two wives and possession but he hadn’t lost his joy. That’s why David was able to be a true leader because he kept encouraging himself and encouraging those with him. If we are going to transform from followers to true leaders, we must learn to stay positive.
When there was no food and there was only 5 loaves and 2 fishes, Jesus gave thanks. In our text today, when he came to the tomb of Lazarus, he gave thanks. Perhaps you are in front of a Lazarus tomb right now, the right thing to do is to give thanks. There are times we are nervous and worried inside. We may need to pretend or fake calmness from the outside first and before you know it, you become calm inside. If you are not positive inside right now, learn to act as if you are. Before you know it you will be positive both inside and outside.

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Let’s take a few moment to learn our memory verse for this month by heart. It can be memorised in 3 lines:
Line 1: And he said to them all,
Line 2: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
Line 3: and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Once you say it a few times it will stick.
