2 Kings 6: 15 – 16
The Word: 2 Kings 6: 15 -16 (KJV)

15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

2 Kings 6: 17
(KJV)

17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

OPEN MY EYES LORD

As we continue discussing the importance of what you see and how you see things this year, It is important to know that unless our eyes are opened we may not see or notice certain things. Now this is not talking about the physical eyes (Although if you are reading this and you have physical eye problems, God can touch you with his healing power now). We are talking about mental and spiritual eyes here. Just like you have physical ears you also have spiritual ears. Our mental and spiritual eyes allows us to notice or see things that others are not seeing. There are so many examples in the scriptures: Ishmael and Hagar were in dessert, Ishmael was a baby and was dying of thirst, all of a sudden God opened the eyes of Hagar to see a well of water, Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac based on God’s instruction, after the angel called from heaven and asked him to stop, all of a sudden he noticed a ram locked with his horns in a thicket bush by him. Balaam was on his way to Balak, all of a sudden his donkey refused to move, he started beating the donkey, but then his eyes were opened and he saw the angel of God with a sword standing in his path. If his eyes were shut, he would have been killed. Nebuchadnezzar threw 3 men into the fire but then his eyes were opened, he saw a fourth person looking like the son of the most high walking in the fire. When your eyes are opened, you take steps that seems silly to everyone, but you are seeing what they are not seeing and it works out. When your eyes are opened, you become a star in your place of work because you proffer solutions that others did not spot. When your eyes are opened you cannot be stranded. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to new things, unusual opportunities this year
