PLANS PREPARATIONS, GOOD JUDGEMENT
April 24, 2020

The Word: Proverbs 16: 1, 3 (KJV)

1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Proverbs 16: 1, 3  (TLB)

1 We can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God’s hands. Commit your work to the Lord, then it will succeed.

PLANS, PREPARATION, GOOD JUDGEMENT
On Vision and goals…..

Proverbs 16: 1, 3 (MESS)
1. Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good. Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place

Man makes plans, Man prepares but without God, Man is unable to make good judgement. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of sound judgement. That is because he sees the contents of the heart and the future. Jesus was a man of quick understanding. He didn’t judge by mere sight. He judged truly by the leading of the Holy Spirit

Isaiah 11: 3
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

What a man thinks is right many times are wrong. This is because man looks at appearance, A christian brother wants to get married, he sees a beautiful sister in the church who also happens to be in the choir. He thinks this is it. He can’t see the future or certain character flaw. Because man makes judgement based on the senses, He/she can easily be fooled. That is why man is incapable of leading or directing himself. Thesame is applicable vice versa, A sister who sees a brother in church but does not know he can be violent or he drinks.

Jeremiah 10: 23
KJV
O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
ASV
O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
AMP
O Lord, I know that the path of [life of] a man is not in himself; It is not within [the limited ability of] man [even one at his best] to choose and direct his steps [in life].
NLT
I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.

A wise man is a man who understands that without the help of the Holy Spirit, he is helpless in making the right judgement. When we understand this fundamental truth, it brings humility because we understand our limitations, This then leads us to turn over our plans unto God. This year we should never make a plan without turning it over to God. It is the golden secret of cutting out unnecessary mistakes and errors

Good judgement is the prerogative of the Holy Spirit

Our memory verse for January 2018
Habakkuk 2: 2

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Let’s take a few moment to learn our memory verse for this month by heart. It can be memorised in 2 lines:
Line 1:  And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision,
Line 2and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Once you say it a few times it will stick.

Prayer focus: Our prayers for the next level project:
Lord help me to make good judgement by your spirit this year……
