LIVING SACRIFICE
‘Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat;’

5 Key words in our first text:
– Present
– Body,
– Living Sacrifice
– Holy and Acceptable
– Reasonable service.

Any man or woman that will desire a deeper relationship with God will need to go through the process in this 2 verses. He / She will need to voluntarily present the body, soul and spirit in sacrifice to God. Remember Luke 9: 23
if any man will come after me,  let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me.

1. To Present:
is to package properly in an attractive and acceptable manner. It is not sufficient to just present  or package. Rather it has to be done effectively in an acceptable manner.

2 – Body:
God wants my body, My spirit already belongs to him, And by renewing my soul with the word, I subject my soul to his authority.

3. Living sacrifice
A sacrifice usually entails an effort. It is usually not convenient. A sacrifice is on the altar ready to be killed. Living sacrifice means everyday I need to renew my commitment to holiness and righteousness.

4. Holy and acceptable:
Holiness is God’s word. We can’t walk with him without understanding that Holiness is a must.

5. Reasonable Service
A pursuer of God will have to serve him. Reasonable service means the barest minimum expectation required of God by us

Every pursuer of God will have to  come to this realization  and commitment.

Nuggets:
Every pursuer of God must become a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to him
