The Word: Proverbs 23: 25(KJV)
25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

WAR AGAINST POVERTY
The plan of God is for us to prosper financially. And our prayers today is in that direction. Many scriptures confirm this. For instance
2 Corinthians 9: 8
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
However there are certain secrets to financial prosperity and prayer is only a small part. Praying for financial prosperity is important for 2 main reasons:
1. When there is a demonic resistance to our breakthrough, prayer may be needed to demolish those resistance
2. When we don’t even seem to have any seed to sow, we can pray for seed because God is the one that gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. So we ask him for our daily bread and seed to sow. (Although in reality we always have a seed. There is always something that you have. You may not have seed money, but you have time as a seed. You can pray for someone else as a seed. You can serve or minister to someone else as a seed)
So prayers is only one of the keys to financial prosperity. The 3 other very important keys are:
2. Giving
3. Providing a service.
4. Strategy / service model
Someone who does not give will not prosper financially under Divine covenant. It’s just the way it is. Seed time and harvest time will not cease – Genesis 8: 22
So we need to be givers to invoke the covenant of prosperity. A closed fisted person cannot receive because the hand is not opened. The 2nd thing is that we must be providing a service. Financial reward is usually an harvest as a result of needs that we meet. So we get paid at work for our service. If we don’t meet any need there will be no rewards. The sort of need we meet also determines the reward that comes our way. A bin man gets paid little. A doctor that attends to our health gets paid more. So if our reward is little, maybe we need to look at the service we are providing. Thirdly, our strategy or model: We may be providing a good service (especially for entrepreneurs) but if the model or strategy is wrong, we may still suffer. We may need to pray and meditate to receive open eyes and Divine ideas so we could provide a better service.
What do we pray about today?
– War against poverty and every demonic resistance
– Breakthrough on every front
– Open eyes and new ideas
