WORD ADDICT
We said yesterday that a disciple a member of the Divine Cult – in that he is voluntarily involved in a blood covenant through the blood of Jesus, he is devoted and committed to Christ, He worships God which may be considered weird and politically incorrect by the world, He is a member of the body of Christ and he has an allegiance to put Christ first in all that he does.
The disciple is also meant to be a word addict. He has an hunger to know about God. Whatever God says is final as far as the disciple is concerned. He feeds literally and lives on what God says.
Job 23: 12
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
The disciple is programmed to live by God’s word.
Deuteronomy 8: 3
3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord
Without God’s word, the disciple has no vision, without the word there is no purpose. without the word, there is no encouragement, without the word, the disciple cannot live and survive spiritually
