Then said Jesus to them again, “Peace be unto you. As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.”
Dig Deeper: Matthew 10: 16 (KJV)

Think about it
A SENT ONE
Firstly, It is important that we locate ourselves in God’s divine agenda. We must locate our intended positioning in his master plan and then live it. If you were travelling from London to Manchester, driving. if you are using a route planner, there will be need to locate where you are first and then route from where you are to where you are going. It becomes difficult to get to the destination God has for us without knowing where we are first. As part of the Next Level we need to know where we are in other to plan and route to where we are going….. Jesus located and knew his positioning in God’s agenda in saving mankind. Listen to this:
Hebrews 10: 7, 9
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.
If you are a football player, both you and your coach must know your best positioning in other to get the best result. You will need to know whether you are best as a striker, defender etc. So we must locate ourselves in God’s master plan.
Secondly, the disciple is a sent one. Jesus is THE sent one. The disciple is A sent one. There is a difference between THE sent one and A sent one. Jesus is always ‘THE’ He is THE way, the truth, the life, the door, the living bread, the word, the only begotten, the vine etc. In other words he is THE absolute. We for instance are light, we are salt, branches of the vine etc. We are replica of him, however a derivative would be the best word to describe us. We are not THE absolute. We are a derivative emanating from him (THE absolute) He is our source. So because we have come out of him, he has sent us on assignment to represent him. So the disciple is a sent one.
John 17: 18
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Thirdly, what is the disciple sent to do?
Matthew 28: 19 – 20
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The disciple is sent to preach, teach, baptize, to make other disciples….. wow!
we have been made disciples but we have also been sent to make other disciples. In other words, get people saved, teach them, get them grounded, follow them up, make disciples who can also make other disciples. So if we have not been following people up and getting them grounded we are failing on the assignment we have been given.
Ah! We need help! At the time we should be having spiritual children, we ourselves are still in need of nurturing. Please understand you have been sent, I have been sent. You are a sent one, a derivative from Jesus THE sent one. I am also a sent one. We need divine help to quickly grow up so we are not permanently stagnant and fail in our sent assignment.
Nuggets:
A disciple is a sent one to disciple others.
Our memory verse for March 2018
Luke 9: 23
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Let’s take a few moment to learn our memory verse for this month by heart. It can be memorised in 3 lines:
Line 1: And he said to them all,
Line 2: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
Line 3: and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Once you say it a few times it will stick.
Prayer focus: Our next level prayers:
Lord help me to grow and develop and take up my responsibility as a sent one.
