THE ART OF MOVEMENT….
We ‘ve been studying the 7 characteristics of living things: Respiration, Nutrition, Excretion, Sensitivity, Movement, Growth, Reproduction. Let’s look into the art of movement today.
What does movement depict?
Movement represents action. The word comes from motion. A process of stirring, shifting, or change of location. Movement is a key sign of life. Certain animals may sometimes play dead to avoid predators. That means completely no movement including breathing. A dead thing does not move. But an animal / plant that is alive cannot remain without movement for long periods. Movement is an action word. Spiritually it can stand for obedience. Meaning that the moment there is an instruction from God’s Spirit, there is no hesitation to immediately comply. Our text for today talks about being elected according to God’s foreknowledge, through sanctification unto obedience….. Parents normally expect their children to obey them. God is no exception. He expects our obedience. But not only does he expect our obedience, he expects it on time and promptly. Meaning the moment he is talking, we are moving to comply.
There is a grace for obedience…
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience….
When prompt obedience is in place, the blessings, follow.
Are you obeying his promptings? and promptly as well?
