Raising a people of purpose

STAYING CONNECTED

The Word: John 15: 5(KJV)

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Dig Deeper: John 15: 6-7  (KJV)

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Think about it

STAYING CONNECTED
One of the key ways of bearing fruits as believers is abiding in Christ. To abide is to be connected. Not to abide is to be disconnected.

John 15: 8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

– So being connected facilitates fruit bearing.
– Staying connected allows sap and nutrients to flow from the roots to the branches.
Unless the branches gets the required nutrient, it will dry up. The human body is amazing in that a person can donate organ part and it can be transplanted to someone else. So Mr A may agree to donate his heart or kidney upon death and that body part can be used by someone else. But that body part can only be useful if harvested quickly and kept in such cold conditions as to allow reuse or transplant. If blood has stopped flowing in the body and any of these organs are not quickly harvested then it becomes literally impossible to reuse. That is because blood carries life. And the stop of blood flow is the stop of life flow. It’s thesame as believer’s the moment we disconnect in our spirit or we are not connected again in the word or prayer, Life ceases to flow. Our development, growth, prospering is hinged on staying connected through the word, prayer and fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Have you been in connection today to receive the flow of life and grace to your spirit man?

Our memory verse for February 2018
John 3: 3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Let’s take a few moment to learn our memory verse for this month by heart. It can be memorised in 2 lines:
Line 1:  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Line 2Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Once you say it a few times it will stick.

Prayer focus: Our prayers for the next level project:
LORD help me to always be in connection with heaven
