PRAYING THAT BRINGS CHANGE – INTENSE

Prayer that brings change is not lackadaisical prayers.
We can’t pray wishy washy and expect an harvest.
When we go through the scriptures, there is something consistent with prayers that brings a change or prayers that breaks the bond of darkness. Such prayers are passionate, intense, fervent even brutal. For instance in our text today, there are certain key words: Elijah prayed earnestly…. Hannah wept sore…. In order words, prayers that brings change is usually desperate prayers……

Prayer that brings change many times is also personal. For instance: Nehemiah prayed alone, Daniel prayed alone, Hannah prayed alone, Elijah prayed alone, Jacob prayed alone. This is not a coincidence. This is because others may not share your passion. If Hannah was waiting for Elkannah the husband to join her in intense prayers, she would have waited forever. Instead she took her destiny in her hands. You don’t need a team of prayer warriors to pray for you. You can change things by yourself.

Genesis 32: 24
²⁴ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

Prayers that brings change does not take a no for an answer. How can you wrestle throughout the night and even though tired, refuse to let go in the morning? How can Daniel pray and fast for 21 days? He must have made up his mind that he wasn’t going to stop the fasting until there is an answer from the heavenlies
 
Ladies and Gents, we have the opportunity at the beginning of this year to sow unbelievable prayers that carries power to break the head of Satan and destroy every yoke. It is a fantastic opportunity. It must not be missed.
