24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

NO MORE STRUGGLES
Today’s bible reading talks about Jacob. He was a struggler from his mother’s womb. Stuggled with his twin brother in the womb. His life was about competing, about being street smart, about being self centred and atimes cheating his way up. He also got outsmarted and cheated by his uncle. But at some point he realised life should not be like that. It should not be hard work everyday for things to work. There should be an element of grace that makes things work with minimal effort. So he engaged in prayers: ‘Bless me or I won’t let you go’ He was not asking for money, shoes, food or any other material thing. He was asking for a spiritual thing. Let your blessing rest upon me so that there is more hard struggle. Let your grace flow on me so that I don’t need to cut corners or cheat or even do extensive dry fasting before things work. Grace is definitely better than struggling. Once you ‘ve tasted both you will never in your life again want to struggle. There is a level of grace that your life seems without sweat. You are at ease, you are at peace, you are blessed in the house and at work, you are not only blessed but your family is blessed. It’s a place of rest…. That is our heart cry today. Struggling to end in our lives, in the church, in our nation, in our families…..
DAY 7: NO MORE STRUGGLES. Gen 32:24-30
- Thank God for another day of prayer
- Ask the Lord to purify you and make you whole.
- Father please put an end to struggle in all face of my life
- Father as I met with Jacob at Peniel, Lord meet with me
- Jacob got an evidence of meeting you, Lord please let me meet with you
- Father please let me leave my life in ease with you
- Father because you are the Alpha and Omega and there is nothing you can’t do please let my struggle change to triumph
