The Word: Psalm 128: 1 – 2 (KJV)

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Dig DeeperPsalm 90: 17(KJV)

17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Think about it

ENJOYING THE WORK OF OUR HANDS
Solomon was a man blessed with unusual wisdom. He was also a philosopher who analysed everything and thought everything through. In one of his statements, he said one of the best gifts a man can enjoy is too enjoy the fruit of his labour:

Ecclesiastes 3: 22
22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

So it’s not a good thing for someone’s work not to be blessed. When our work is blessed, flourishing becomes easy. It’s also important to have rewards for our efforts and to enjoy those rewards. Some people work but other reap the rewards. That will not be our case IJN. It is not good to work in vain and not to enjoy the rewards. So one of life’s blessing is to enjoy the fruit of our labour.

The 7th season is a time of harvest. A time of reward. A time when you enjoy the fruit of your labour. A time of fruitfulness. A time when God remembers you.
