DIRECTED BY THE LORD
Psalm 37: 23 (NLT)
23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.
There are many truths in our text today:
– The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
One of the ways God directs is through his word. The Lord is the word, the word is the Lord. Our Lord Jesus is the word in bodily form. To direct is to channel in a particular way. To consciously influence towards a path. In other words God consciously influence or channels my path and your path. Even when we don’t know, God influences our lives in line with his will.
We read that Jesus is the one that has the keys of David. He opens a door no one can shut. He is also the one who shuts a door no one can open. So God will consciously open a door or shut a door to direct us. The NLT says: He delights in every detail of their lives. So God takes special interest in me and you.
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.
There are times we stumble and we are unsure. Atimes we make mistakes. Other times we may be overwhelmed. If we are connected and love the Lord, We must exercise faith and trust in those times that because God delights in our ways, he is consciously shaping, directing, influencing what happens to us even when don’t know how things will turn out.

REVISTING THE PROMISES FOR THIS YEAR
As we have come to a weekend of seeking God and in a month of focus on God’s word, it is important to appreciate that God’s prophecy or promises are equally as powerful or potent as the scriptures.
The bible is documented promises or words inspired by the Holy Spirit. A direct word to the house is a Rhema (word in real time) which is equally as powerful and relevant for our year.
Our father said this year is our year of NEXT LEVEL and we said NEXT LEVEL is changing position upwards, moving to the next stage spiritually, physically, maritally as a Church and in every spect of our lives. But for many of us and the church does it look like next level right now? Perhaps many will answer: NO
For some people it might even look like a lower level. But we must not forget that God said we should be expectant of four things.
– New things. He will do New things
– Restructuring. Our lives will need to be restructured and reorganised
– It’s OK to take a step back in order to leap forward
– He will take away all reproach.
Remember Haggai 2:9 The glory of the latter shall be greater than the former. It may not yet look like NEXT LEVEL but God’s word is settled forever. That is what he said. Let’s key in and align ourselves to this.
