¹⁴ If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

CHANGE –  MINDSET AND PRAYERS
When it’s time for Divine change, 2 important ingredient is: our mindset and prayers. These 2 key ingredients needs to be present. When Jacob needed a change. He was firstly fed up of the status quo, then he prayed. That restlessness and prayer were the catalyst that brought change.

Genesis 32: 24
²⁴ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. ²⁶ And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

When Jabez needed a change, it was thesame thing: He wanted a positive change desperately and he prayed. It is important that we have the right mindset if we would be able to sustain the next level. God will usually do nothing unless people really want him to intervene and cry out to him. So the spirit of next level is the spirit of change and the spirit of change is the spirit of prayers.

In our text today Job said something powerful:
all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

In other words there is an appointed time, a divine agenda, but God needs us to really desire change and unrelenting prayers is the catalyst that tells him we are getting ready for his help.
