CALLED INTO PURPOSE
We said our lives are in seasons. God controls are our seasons and timing.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven
So there is a time to every purpose. In other words, there is a time to be born, there is a time to grow up, there is a time to enter into Divine purpose. Most people are not called into Divine purpose until a certain stage or age in life.
– Abraham was already old before God called him to come out of his father’s house unto a land he will show him.
– Moses was about 80yrs before God called him out of the burning bush and sent him back to Egypt to deliver Israel out of captivity.
– Saul and David were already adults before they got anointed for Kingship.
– Samuel was already grown up before God called him one night to be his prophet
– Jesus was already 30yrs before he went into ministry to fulfil his purpose.
– Peter was already an adult before one day Jesus came around the lake Gennesaret, borrowed his boat for preaching, later told him to launch into the deep and cast his net to the right side. The result was loads of fishes. The rest is history: Peter eventually left those fishes and followed Jesus. That was a call unto purpose for him.
In our text today: Paul said:
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
The key word is ‘when’. In other words, Paul was already separated to be God’s apostle to the gentiles from his mother’s womb. Yet he was an area boy and a terrorist for a long time. God allowed him to run riot against Christians for a long time, then the time to enter into purpose came. God himself arrested him with a strange light on his way to Damascus. The word ‘when’ in that text talks about the appointed time, the set time. A call to purpose may require more focus on a specific assignment. A call to purpose may mean that God takes away distractions. I sense it’s time for some people to come up hither – Revelations 11: 12. God is orchestrating their step through the situations around to get ready to step into purpose because the time is now here……
Is God calling you into another phase of assignment for him? Do you understand what he is calling you into? As we pray especially in tongues, over days, weeks, months, we start to receive clarity….
