The Word: Joshua 6: 2 – 3(KJV)
2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. 3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
Dig Deeper: Joshua 6: 4 – 5(KJV)
4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

BEING DELIBERATE
We read the story of how the Israelites conquered Jericho today:
God said: I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof,
I believe that is God’s word to someone reading this: He has given you the victory, the grace, the help, the wisdom, the know how and the way forward. The clarity will descend and be downloaded into your spirit man.
But there was clear instructions on what to do:
‘Seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns’
Again Seven representing perfection and completion.
You shall compass the city once for six days. On the Seventh day, you shall compass the city Seven times and after that the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
What jumps out is the clear, meticulous instructions. So the children of Israel approached Jericho being deliberate. They had a clear goal. They also had a clear strategy. They were not ambiguous. They knew what they wanted and what needed to be done to achieve it.
Being deliberate is needed for the Next Level. For the rest of this month perhaps 2 questions we need to ask are:
1. What are my goals and what do I want?
2. What are the steps that I need for those goals to become a reality.
