ATTRIBUTES OF GOD’S LAW
April 24, 2020

The Word: Psalms 19: 7(KJV)

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

Dig Deeper: Psalms 19: 8 -11(KJV)

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

ATTRIBUTES OF GOD’S LAW
Psalm 19 is an inspired scripture on the attributes of God’s law and the benefits to a believer. Let’s look at just 3 of those attributes today:

1. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul:
If we are looking for a balanced life… not to become extremist by ourselves: adequate exposure to God’s word is the answer. There a believer who truly love God but they don’t have the right balanced view to life because what they have been exposed to is not balanced. If we want a balanced view to life generally. an holistic, not one sided view, then God’s word is the way to acquire this. Some people thinks poverty makes God love them more. Some others talks only about prosperity… If we want to be perfect the way our heavenly father is perfect, then the word is the secret.

2. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
If we want to contact Divine wisdom and think like God, then we must be exposed to his thoughts and character. The scripture allows us to have a snippet of his thought pattern in different situations

3. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart:
God’s opinion is always right. Many of the accepted societal, political correctness are not right. The fact that something is acceptable in a society does not mean it’s right. There are societies where men offer their wives or daughters for welcome to their male visitors. Does the fact that it is accepted in that society make it right? If we are looking for the definition of rightness or what is wrong, then God’s word is the answer

There is the song: Open the eyes of my heart lord, open the eyes of my heart, I want to see you… That should be our song and prayer.

REVISTING THE PROMISES FOR THIS YEAR
As we have come to a weekend of seeking God and in a month of focus on God’s word, it is important to appreciate that God’s prophecy or promises are equally as powerful or potent as the scriptures.
The bible is documented promises or words inspired by the Holy Spirit. A direct word to the house is a Rhema (word in real time) which is equally as powerful and relevant for our year.

Our father said this year is our year of NEXT LEVEL and we said NEXT LEVEL is changing position upwards, moving to the next stage spiritually, physically, maritally as a Church and in every spect of our lives. But for many of us and the church does it look like next level right now? Perhaps many will answer: NO

For some people it might even look like a lower level. But we must not forget that God said we should be expectant of four things.
– New things. He will do New things
– Restructuring. Our lives will need to be restructured and reorganised
– It’s OK to take a step back in order to leap forward
– He will take away all reproach.

Remember Haggai 2:9 The glory of the latter shall be greater than the former. It may not yet look like NEXT LEVEL but God’s word is settled forever. That is what he said. Let’s key in and align ourselves to this.
