PRAYING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL
April 24, 2020

John 15: 7
The Word: John 15: 7 (KJV)

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Dig Deeper:
Matthew 7: 7
(KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto youFor every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

PRAYING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL
Day 1, Week 3 of our Masterlife workbook
The memory verse for this week is quite simple:

John 15: 7
‘If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you’

Again we can have it in 3 lines for easy memory:
Line 1: If you abide in me
Line 2: And my words abide in you
Line 3: You shall ask what you and it shall be done unto you

God is happy to answer our prayers. We have been encouraged in other scriptures to come boldly (Without drawing back or shame or guilt) to the throne of grace to receive help when needed. Now Matthew 7:7 encourages us to ask and it shall be given. If we still haven’t received the answer after a while, we are encouraged to start seeking (meaning we can trouble shoot and start to ask questions:

– Are we asking outside of God’s will?
– Is there a reason why there is a delay?
– Is it satanic hindrance?
– Is it sin?
– Is it that we are not ready for the blessing we are asking for?

And lastly we are encouraged to knock (So this is persistent, continuous prayers until we get a response)  Daniel knew he was praying according to God’s will, which is the No 1 thing. Then he pursued for 21days until there was a response. As we start a new day and a new week the message is: Do not hesitate to draw near to the father for help. You have been given an open invitation to the throne of grace. So why not use it….

Prayer focus:  Lord thank you the open invitation to your court. Help me to pray according to your will this week

Book of the month: The Church is embarking on weeks of discipleship workbook study starting with the Masterlife: Disciple’s cross.
