40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men.
Think about it
GROWING IN GRACE AND FAVOUR
And the child grew – Physical development
And waxed strong in Spirit – Spiritual development
Filled with Wisdom – Mental development
And the grace of God was upon him – All round presence of God
God expects every child of his to experience all these dimension of growth and development. The next level encompasses all these level of development.
We find this also in the life of Samuel:
And the child Samuel grew on – Physical development
Was in favour with the Lord – All round goodness of God
And also with men – Favour in the sight of men.
This is how our lives ought to be. We see this again in the life of Joseph:
Genesis 39: 2 – 5
2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
– The Lord was with Joseph, he was therefore prosperous because he carried Divine presence, He found grace in the sight of his master because he carried grace, Potiphar’s house was blessed because of him. This is the NEXT LEVEL dimension of blessings where we carry Divine presence and because of what we carry there is a multiple chain effect. God’s presence causes a domino effect that permeates every area of our lives. Growing in grace is God’s desire for me. That is my portion, that is what I keyed into
